MWS honors president of AIMJF

JEDDAH — Memon Welfare Society (MWS) a subsidiary of Memon Association Saudi Arabia (MASA) honored the President of All India Memon Jamat Federation (AIMJF) and Deputy President International Memon Organization (IMO) at an Iftar and dinner at Lasani Restaurant.

More than 130 local and foreign guests including Iqbal Advani, Abdul Rahman Merchant, Amin Al Maimani, Yousuf Al Maimani, Mohammed Chapra, Abdul Karim Yahiya Munshi and Sheikh Luqman attended the event.

The event started with recitation of verses from Holy Qur’an by Mohammed Makki and Naat was presented by Ahmed Irfan. Siraj Adamjee conducted the proceeding. Irfan Haji Ahmed Kolsawala, president MWS, welcomed all guests.

Tayyab Moosani, general secretary, introduced Iqbal Memon and presented the performance report of MWS for last year. He informed that MWS is expanding its welfare services day by day and during last year it had provided education, health care & medical assistance to several needy people.

MWS has also helped out without distinction the local community members who could not afford tickets while going on exit visa only. Moosani also thanked to sponsors. Specially M. Amin Al-Maimani and M. Yousuf Al-Maimani for sponsoring the complete event.

Chief guest Iqbal Memon (Officer), who is here for Umrah, praised the services rendered by the MWS. He said Memons are always kind-hearted and helpful to the humanity by nature, which is a great gift of Allah Almighty. He informed the audience about welfare and charitable services of Memon community throughout globe. He was presented a token of appreciation by MWS for his commendable services to the community.

Kolsawala expressed thanks to all guests and appreciated efforts of Shoaib Sikander, Ahmed Kamal, Wasim Tai, A Kader Africawala, A.Q. Teli , Sadiq Suratiya, Siraj Lala, Aqeel Teli for holding a successful event.
