UNITED NATIONS – The member parties of the Convention on Elimination of all kinds of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) have elected Dr. Tamadur Bint Yousef Al-Rammah, deputy minister of labor and social development and Saudi Arabia's nominee, as member of the UN committee on elimination of discrimination against women in New York on Thursday.

The committee focuses on reviewing the reports submitted by the convention's member parties to verify their commitment to the provisions of the agreement. – SPA
