Saudi Embassy to airlift Tanzanian conjoined twins to Saudi Arabia

RIYADH – In line with a royal order approving the treatment of Tanzanian conjoined Siamese twins in Saudi Arabia and their separation, at the expense of the state, the Saudi Embassy in coordination with the Tanzanian government, has started finalizing arrangements to airlift them to the Kingdom.

The conjoined twins will be transported from the Muhumbili National Hospital, in Dar es Salaam, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Saturday.

The Tanzanian side welcomed this generous humanitarian gesture from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the humanitarian initiatives have long been adopted by Saudi Arabia. – SPA
