July 08, 2018

TAIF – Chinese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Li Huaxin has said the Kingdom, with its human, cultural and heritage potentials, will become one of the top tourist destinations worldwide.

The ambassador assured that the Chinese tourists would have a major share in tourist visa applications to visit the Kingdom.

He pointed that 140 million Chinese tourists traveled abroad, including to Arab countries, last year.

In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) during a visit of a diplomatic delegation to Taif governorate and Souk Okaz, Li Huaxin said the steps being taken by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) to develop tourism in the country were ambitious.

"When foreigners visit tourist sites in the Kingdom, they will be amazed by the profound implications of these sites for human heritage and civilization," he added. – SG/SPA
