IIS Jubail awards Class X and XII toppers

Jubail — International Indian School, Jubail hosted a grand function recently to felicitate the top scorers of Class X and XII in CBSE examinations conducted in March 2018. Indian Ambassador Ahmad Javed was the chief guest on this occasion.

The program was organized in a grand style to acknowledge the achievements of brilliant students who have made both the school and their parents proud. The program was held to recognize the young talents who have made an immense contribution to the school and the society.

The program began with the welcome speech by the officiating Chairman Noushad P.K. He thanked the ambassador for attending despite his busy schedule.

He congratulated the parents, and the top scorers of class X and XII who made the school proud. He appreciated the efforts of teachers for the excellent results.

Principal Dr. Syed Hameed presented a detailed academic report, highlighting the achievements of school and students. He said that IIS Jubail school has been given recognition by the College Board, USA to conduct SAT examinations of all levels and the school has very successfully conducted two phases of SAT exams.

He further added that a personality development program has been initiated by the school under the theme ‘Catch them Young’ in which the students of classes I–V are trained in public speaking, and many more life skills of the students are sharpened in this program.

The parents of top scorers Prasanna and Dr. Afroz Jahan addressed the gathering and appreciated the steps taken by the school under the able leadership of the principal, to bring all round development in the personality of the students.

Ambassador Ahmad Javed, while addressing on the gathering, expressed his happiness and satisfaction on the achievements of the school. He cautioned the students of the pros and cons of social media and asked them to be very careful while posting, and commenting on anything on the social media.

He highlighted the role of yoga in today’s stressful life and appreciated the cooperation of Saudi officials in organizing international Yoga day on June 21.

A colorful patriotic dance was presented by the students, which was very much appreciated by one and all.

Toppers of classes X and XII were presented appreciation certificates and gifts by the Ambassador and his wife Mrs. Shabnam Javed.
