Jeddah Summer Festival to end on Saturday

JEDDAH — The Jeddah Summer Festival will end on Saturday after one month of events in the city. The events included the participation of 10 commercial centers and the distribution of 500 gifts worth SR2 million. The festival hosted 50 cultural events and different sports activities.

The organizers will host a closing ceremony at Red Sea Mall on Saturday to announce 22 gifts including one car, nine gold sets, education trip to China, educative robots, electronic machines and accounting training courses.

Hassan Dahlan, secretary general of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said, “The Jeddah Summer Festival tops the festivals organized in the region," and added they have the experience in arranging international festivals. “This year the festival attracted families by arranging events at Jeddah Corniche and shopping malls at different areas of Jeddah to meet the expectations of the audience.”

He added that they are keen to highlight the cultural and heritage factors of Makkah region to create a jump in local tourism in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

He said that they cooperate with different government agencies including the Entertainment Authority and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH).

The festival, he noted, offers different opportunities to tourism investors and encourages them to expand their investments to enhance the shopping and entertainment experiences.
