RIYADH — Saudi Cultural Attaché in Canada Dr. Fawzi Bin Abdulghani Bukhari has revealed that the Saudi Cultural Attaché office has succeeded in acquiring more than 95% of the seats available to non-Canadian doctors wishing to study in the fellowship and fine specialization stages in Canadian English and French medical schools, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Thursday.

He attributed this to the efficiency and excellence of Saudi doctors and the distinguished relations enjoyed by the Cultural Mission for more than 40 years with all Canadian medical schools.

This is aside from the limitless support being provided for the Scholarship Program in general and doctors on scholarship in particular by the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman.

Dr. Bukhari pointed out that the number of admissions for the academic year 2018/2019 reached 514 medical acceptance, 93 in fellowship programs, 421 in the programs of sub-specialization, fine-specialization, research fellowship and scientific communication.

The number of applications received through the MAS program for applicants from within the Kingdom exceeded 1000, in addition to 230 applications submitted by doctors still studying in Canada. — SPA
