KAIA Customs foil four attempts to smuggle heroin

JEDDAH – Customs officers at King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) here have foiled four attempts to smuggle a huge quantity of the drug "heroin" totally weighing 925.8 grams, in addition to 4,972 banned “Tramadol” tablets hidden by a passenger coming to Saudi Arabia, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said Thursday.

The Director General of Customs at the Airport Bandar Al-Ruhaili said that the officers foiled these narcotics smuggling attempts during checking. The Customs officers were vigilant in noticing that the drugs were hidden in different ways. He added that the necessary legal measures were taken against these violators. – SPA
