IN its three quarterly reports for the year 2018, BMI has listed Naqel Express as a promising model among fright transport and shipping firms in Saudi Arabia. The BMI quarterly report was based on the analysis of the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
The report noted that Naqel Express has witnessed a significant growth for its operations in the past and has introduced refrigerated trailers and forged a business partnership with Saudi Railways. It added that Naqel Express provides special cross-border solutions and road transportation service between Saudi Arabia and GCC countries.
The report said launching Cargo Village at King Fahd International Airport on April 6 2015 has attracted many leading international and regional cargo companies, including Naqel Express, and it indicated that Naqel is the main outlet of Saudi Post for providing logistics services in this field.
On the opportunities for Naqel, the report observed that the very robust outlook for rail freight growth will benefit Naqel and its logistics partners over the medium- and long-terms.
Naqel Express was established as a joint venture between Saudi Post and Arabian Hala Company in August 2005 and is headquartered in Riyadh, adding that the strategic partnership between the two parties meant that the former holds 51% ownership.
Naqel's dedicated freighter fleet caters for various different customer needs and that the company offers various express services including domestic road, domestic and international courier, online shipping and international road express. In addition, the report indicated that Naqel also offers dedicated and shared warehouse space, as well as specialist offerings such as reefer and cold chain services. — SG
