DAMMAM — A company lodged a complaint with the Public Prosecution seeking action against a man who posted a false job advertisement on its behalf.

The post stated that the company was looking for female employees and the man had his name and phone number as the contact. The company claimed that his intention was to entice women to contact him so that he could sexually abuse them.

The company also stated that when they tried to call the number it was blocked, indicating that he had purposefully blocked the company’s number to prevent it from contacting him. The advertisement resulted in a number of women singing fake contracts with the man, who met one of the applicants at a shopping center.

If convicted, the man will face five years in prison and a fine of SR3 million, the prosecution said, adding that the maximum punishment will apply because the man has a previous criminal record.
