Pak missions to hold flag hoisting ceremonies to mark I-Day

JEDDAH — Pakistani diplomatic missions in the Kingdom will be holding flag hoisting ceremonies to celebrate 71st Pakistan Independence Day on Tuesday.

According to Arshad Munir, consular (press) at the Consulate General of Pakistan in Jeddah, the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh will be holding the ceremony at the embassy premises at 7:30 a.m.

The embassy has invited all members of the Pakistani community to reach the venue before 7:15 a.m. attend the ceremony, he said in a press statement.

Munir said in Jeddah, the ceremony would be held at the consulate building at 9 a.m. He advised community members wishing to attend the ceremony to reach the consulate premises by 8:30 a.m.

Munir further added that the embassy in Riyadh and the consulate general in Jeddah will remain closed on Tuesday on the occasion of Pakistan Independence Day. The missions will reopen on Wednesday.
