ON the Independence Day of Pakistan, I would like to extend my sincere wishes to all the Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia. I would also like to take this opportunity to extend my best sentiments, and pray for their success in their future endeavors.

Aug. 14 reminds us of the efforts made by the Muslims of South Asia and their sacrifices in the creation of our homeland Pakistan under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah and Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Our history continues to inspire us to work with devotion and dedication for the prosperity of our country.

The year 2018 saw Pakistan going through general elections and transfer of power to the elected representatives. The third consecutive peaceful transfer of power has strengthened democracy in Pakistan.

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share common political, strategic and economic objectives. Our relationship is unique and multifaceted. Pakistan highly appreciates continued support of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman towards our country.

Vision 2030 and CPEC both provide opportunity to our countries to realize our dreams of development. I hope that Pakistan would be able to contribute positively in achieving goals envisioned in Vision 2030. We also pledge to further enhance this time-tested relationship between our two brotherly countries and pray for security and prosperity of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Pakistan Consulate in Jeddah is committed to provide best consular services to its Diaspora. During the last year, the mission has on the average provided services to over 1,650 applicants daily. We will try to provide even better and comfortable services to our community in the days ahead.

In the end, I would like to request all Pakistanis to contribute and be a part of the new environmental change in putting in share for the construction of Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams.

Long Live Pakistan

Long Live Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Friendship
