MOHAMMAD Al-Mojil Group (MMG), one of the largest Saudi construction companies, has received an unprecedented safety achievement during its operations at Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refinery Company (Yasref) Interconnecting Systems Package (SP Project) by averaging 70 million working man-hours at all packages of Yasref SP Project currently operated by Saudi Aramco and Sinopec. No lost time incidents or work-related injuries have been reported within the project or at any of its related facilities.
MMG CEO Stewart Macphail said "the dedicated compliance with international safety requirements by MMG team at Yasref Refinery Project is another prominent landmark that indicates the high-caliber training level of MMG staff members, and reflects MMG's capability to safely complete such mega projects."
Complimenting other subcontractors for their cooperation, Stewart added "I would like to thank all those participating in the project and I assure you that MMG shall remain fully compliant with the highest industry safety requirements."
Yasref Management praised MMG team at an award ceremony attended by high-ranking officials from both companies, and highlighted the professional level of MMG project team and its strict adherence to the work challenges and requirements as no lost-time incidents or work-related injuries have been reported. Yasref management further said "Yasref Refinery will be one of the biggest oil refineries in the Western Region of the Kingdom, which is planned to process 400,000 bpd of Arabian heavy crude oil into high-quality, refined and ultra-clean by-products."
MMG Senior Construction Manager Noel Pastrana received a Silver Banner for HSE Audit Compliance at SP Project. In addition, MMG EPC, being a subcontractor for L'Air Liquide S.A, also received a Gold Banner for HSE Compliance from Yasref Management. — SG
