Dr. Khan hails right of vote for overseas Pakistanis

— The Engineers Welfare Forum (EWF), a well-organized platform of Pakistani professional engineers in the Kingdom, held an emergent council meeting recently here and president of the forum Dr. Abdul Aleem Khan specifically appreciated and hailed the decision of awarding the right of vote to overseas Pakistanis during his speech.

He also appreciated the efforts of chief justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar, NADRA, Election Commission and Pakistan Tahreek-e- Insaaf (PTI) for providing the voting right. He envisaged that government of Pakistan must issue clear instructions to all Pakistani Consulates to take immediate measures for implementation of new voting system, facilitating the Pakistani expatriates to elect their candidates along with the nation simultaneously.

He pledged to strengthen the hands of new government by providing technocrats and experts to serve Pakistan voluntarily in order to strengthen its institutions, consequently uplifting the country to stand in the row of developed countries honorably. He further welcomed the policy to enforce rule of law, eradication of corruption, reforms in taxation system and to facilitate and protect the investors including their investments. He categorically advised overseas Pakistanis to ensure their transactions are through recognized banks only.

Secretary General of the forum Eng. Masroor Elahi Khan also praised the new prime minister of Pakistan for addressing the core issues of the country and his commitment to resolve these issues by increasing exports and utilizing the local resources. He said, “Our country is full of natural resources and it is the right time to explore and utilize these resources for the benefit and development of the country.”

He further added that which nation espouses the pathway of justice merit and struggles to achieve their goals, success is destined in the fate of that nation by nature.

Council members of the forum also appreciated the patriotism and sincerity of Imran Khan, prime minister of Pakistan, to point out fundamental issues and his determination to resolve these acute problems of Pakistan during his first direct speech to the nation after taking charge of the premier’s office.

They also welcomed his policy to eliminate corruption from the country and work for education, health and to correct/strengthen all institutions of Pakistan.

Renowned engineers like Altaf Hussain Awan, Asif Butt, Kanwar Muhammad Idrees, Syed Ehsanul Haque, Syed Naseeruddin and Qari Muhammad Asif were also present in the meeting and congratulated the PTI Cabinet upon attaining their respective portfolio offices with new responsibilities. Further council members prayed for the success of new Cabinet and reassured their support to overcome all conspicuous problems, which are being faced by the PTI government.
