- Telangana NRI forum, a Jeddah based Indian state of Telangana NRI organization of Hyderabadi Muslims, has commenced training for its volunteers for the upcoming annual pilgrimage of Haj.

Abdul Jabbar, President of the forum, inaugurated the registration and, also orientation program for the volunteers in a formal event held here on Friday.

Jabber emphasized that rendering dedicated and selfless services to the pilgrims during Haj days is a great blessing to the NRIs living in Saudi Arabia.

He said that Telangana NRI forum not only limited to its state but volunteering services to pilgrims from all over the country.

Jabber said that his organization determined to deploy maximum number of volunteers to help pilgrims but space constrain in holy city is impacting expanding further services.

Hailing core volunteers of Telangana, Jabbar said that some of Telangana volunteers carried old aged pilgrims on wheel chairs over several kilo meters around holy sites in Makkah.

Mahmoud Misri, Vice President of forum has said that its volunteers will avail Indian Haj App developed by Indian consulate to navigate the accommodation facilities of pilgrims.

According to Misri, over 100 volunteers hailing from various districts of Telangana state who were employed in different regions of Saudi Arabia will be deployed in Makkah and other holy sites of Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa during Haj season to assist pilgrims.

He added that “Our prime task is to guide pilgrims to their accommodation, as most of the pilgrims confused in sea of humanity during Haj”.

Mahmood Misri, vice president of the organisation said that Telangana NRI forum Haj volunteering service is being able to work with the coordination and cooperation of Indian Haj mission.

Prominent community members Mohammed Aziz Kidwai, Mohammed Shameem Kausar, Osman Yeslam Bin Mahfouz, Abdul Rahman M. Baig, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Syed Khaja Viqaruddin, Mohammed Ameenuddin Ansari, Qamar Saada, Siadat Ali Khan, Ahmed Abdul Hakeem, Mohammed Abdul Razzak, Mohammed Ateeq Khan from Riyadh and others attended the event.

Liakat Ali Khan compared the program and vote of thanks was given by Mohammed Abdul Razzak. Program was entirely organized by Telangana NRI Forum. Mohammed Aziz Kidwai, president IPWF was chief guest of the evening.

The participants also appreciated the volunteering activism of Telangana NRI forum with the help of Indian consulate.
