TAIF —
A number of teachers in Taif have complained about the low quality services provided by maintenance companies and accused the companies of not performing any maintenance at all.

One of the teachers, who requested anonymity, has said maintenance technicians get repair reports signed as a formality but in reality they do not repair or fix anything. The problems persist. The air-conditioners are not working well while some are in a bad condition and cannot be repaired.

Awad Al-Khadidi, spokesman for Taif Educational Administration, has said school maintenance contracts are awarded to companies that will provide maintenance services for air-conditioners and refrigerators and double-check safety systems. The maintenance teams are supposed to pay monthly visits to schools, he said.
