World of Applications Exhibition kicks off

RIYADH —
The four-day ‘World of Applications’ exhibition was inaugurated by chairman of Riyadh chamber of Commerce and Industry Ajlan Al-Ajlan under the patronage of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawah at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center on Monday.

Al-Ajlan said "we are proud of what our youth present and their development in the field of technology and applications. Today we need different applications, which we use in our daily lives and to cope with Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and the e-transformation in diverse fields. According to the latest report issued by the Communications and Information Technology Commission, the volume of electronic commerce in Saudi Arabia exceeded 30 billion riyals and there are expectations that this figure will increase significantly by early 2019 in the Saudi market.”

Ghayah Investment president Mohammad Al Zowaimil said " World of Applications is the first of its kind in the Kingdom. It hosts the elite and those interested in the technology sector, especially from government entitles and the private sector. The exhibition will be a hub for all interested personnel and expects 5000 daily visitors.”

“During the exhibition more than 30 new applications will be launched in addition to courses and workshops.”

Al Zowaimil added that the exhibition is a global on as it hosts global companies and is a hub for discussions and deals that would exceed 200 million riyals for some of the latest technologies and applications available in the ‘World of Applications’.
