The logic of home and identity has been politicized and affected by globalization, as people have a sense of belonging to other countries more than their homeland, due to the growth of global media and mobility.

In the case of Saudi Arabia, globalization has strengthened nationalism. The stronger the forces of globalization become, the stronger nationalism becomes amongst citizens in the Kingdom. The current developments and movements by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, have reinforced Saudi citizens with the feeling of belonging, security and freedom.

The successful and rapid implementation of Saudization was one of the main objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, as the concept of power in the Kingdom has evolved with its vision, characterized with raising their manpower as one of the most vital resources of its development.

In my opinion, patriotism and devotion for Saudi Arabia is important for the protection of the country’s economy, resources, culture and historical heritage. As a Saudi citizen, it is important to be a patriot and volunteer to work for the progress of the nation. This includes, obeying the laws and being active to support social and economic welfare.

Lastly, patriotism can be shown in our day-to-day lives, through doing small things that serve our nation. Since the progress and development of community, city, state or nation depends on its people.
