Saudi Crown Prince distributes prizes to camel race winners

TAIF – Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense, patronizes on Saturday the Crown Prince Camel Festival’s final ceremony organized by the Saudi Federation for Camels, an affiliate of the General Sports Authority (GSA) at the Taif Camel Race course.

This was in the presence of princes and sheikhs from GCC countries including Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE's Armed Forces, and Sheikh Nasser Bin Khalifa, commander of the Royal Guard and chairman of the Supreme Council for the Youth in Bahrain among others.

The Crown Prince handed over prizes to winners of the first place in the final rounds of the festival. He also distributed prizes for the first place in the last four rounds of the festival.

The prizes included a sword and SR1.5 million for Khaled Bin Faisal Bin Shuraim, the owner of the winning camel Al-Anoud in the first round.

The Crown Prince’s rifle, dagger and cash prize of SR1 million went to Saad Abdulhadi Al-Marri, the owner of the winning camel Saud in the second round.

The prizes for the third round including a sword and SR1.5 million went to Ali Jameel Al-Wuhaibi the owner of the winning camel Al-Hakimah.

Ali Jameel Al-Wuhaibi, the owner of the winning camel in the fourth round was awarded the Crown Prince’s rifle, SR1 million and a dagger presented by Sheikh Muhammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. – SPA
