Centuries by Rizwan and Kashif

Makkah Eagles posted a record total of 340-4 and bundled out Jeddah Gladiators for a paltry 72 to record a massive win by 268 runs, while Rizwan (151) and Kashif (119) recorded centuries in the second week matches of M. Iqbal Memorial League, which is organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA). In other matches, Thales, CH XI, Kashmir Stags, Butt Sports, Ace Travel and Hyderabad Sharks excelled with easy wins.

Makkah Eagles posted 340-4, later bundled out Jeddah Gladiators for 72 and won by 268 runs was due to solid contributions from Malik Ijaz (93) and Janan (86). Rizwan scored a brilliant 151 off 43 balls studded with 12 fours, 12 sixes and with Abdul Rahman’s excellent spell (4-24) to give Butt Sports a huge win by 156 runs over Chinar CC. Nasir’s 48 and Faisal 3-18 were the highlights of CH XI 8-wicket win over Huta Marine. Wakeel (55) and Majid (60) enabled Kashmir Stags register their first win over Malik XI by 4 wickets. Ace Travel coasted to 142-run win over Saudi Oil, thanks to fine knock by Zia 56 (25 balls, 4x9) and excellent bowling by Khalid (3-10). Hyderabad Sharks recorded their first win by 102 runs over Pak Zalmi riding on Shehrose’s awesome batting (67 – 4x3, 6x7) despite fine spell from Asad (5-37), ending on losing side. Thales’s maiden 5-wicket win against Royal Brothers was mainly due to an unbeaten knock by Taqi 72 (4x10) despite Emad’s unbeaten 72 (4x8) going in vain. In the last match, Makkah Kings beat Abu Dawood by 6 wickets on better run rate, courtesy of Amir Wahla (91 — 34 balls, 4x8, 6x6), despite Kashif’s polished knock of 119 runs (48 balls, 4x14, 6x5) going in vain.

Hyderabad Sharks beat Pak Zalmi by 102 runs. Hyderabad Sharks 211-9 in 20 overs (Shehrose 67, Sada 43, Asad 5-37). Pak Zalmi 109 all out (Abid 22, Osman 3-11, Sarfaraz 3-17).

Thales CC beat Royal Brothers by 5 wickets. Royal Brothers 186-3 in 20 overs (Emad 72 not out, Waqas 43, Murtuza 2-23). Thales CC 190-5 in 19.4 overs (Taqi 72 not out, Ghulam 40 not out, Hanif 3-31).

CH XI beat Huta Marine by 8 wickets. Huta Marine 147 all out (Taqdeer 33, Tanveer 30, Faisal 3-18, Zaffar 3-15). CH XI 151-2 in 14.3 overs (Nasir 48, Fayaz 44).

Ace Travels beat Saudi Oil by 142 runs. Ace Travels 235-5 in 18 overs (Zia 56, Mohsin 39, Imran 2-23, Shakeel 2-50). Saudi Oil 93 all out (Shakeel 29, Khalid 27, Tausif 2-13 Khalid 3-10).

Kashmir Stags beat Malik XI by 4 wickets. Malik XI 185 all out (Bilal 44, Irfan 37, Zubair 3-28, Usman 2-32). Kashmir Stags 188-6 in 19.2 overs (Wakeel 55, Majid 60, Usman 20 not out, Bilal 2-31).

Makkah Kings beat Abu Dawood by 6 wickets. Abu Dawood 232-6 in 20 overs (Kashif Shafiq 119, Eijaz 61, Waleed 3-30, Umair 2-44). Makkah Kings 175-4 in 16.2 overs (Anwar 61, Aamir Wahla 91, Mazhar 2-46).
