RIYADH — Furthering administrative transparency, an important pillar of the Saudi Vision 2030, the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) has signed an organizational agreement with the National Water Company (NWC) for achieving quality and performance excellence.

SWCC Governor Ali Bin Abdulrahman Al-Hazmi and Mohammed Bin Ahmed Al-Mowkley, the CEO of NWC, signed the agreement in the presence of Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, who is the chairman of both entities.

The agreement organizes and manages relations between both parties and between the SWCC and the water distribution sector in general. It defines the obligations of each party toward the other, the principles and procedures of planning, supply and operation. It also covers all normal and abnormal operational circumstances, ensuring the provision of a high quality and reliable service.

The agreement comes in application of the Seawater Desalination Code, which is managed by the Electricity & Co-Generation Regulatory Authority (ECRA). — SG
