DHL Express Saudi Arabia, the logistics company for the world, has launched a new service that enables customers to receive shipments from the USA in only 48 hours from the time of dispatch.

Previously, the transit time from the US took a longer period as packages would land in Bahrain and then be shipped onwards to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Now, following an agreement with the US team, DHL is able to land these planes in Jeddah, resulting in a substantial decrease in the transit time. To support the new 48 hour service DHL has hired more couriers and is now doing two runs a day, which enhances the KSA to US trade lane delivery time as well.

“This new 48 hour service is an exceptionally fast delivery time that reflects our commitment to continuously enhance our express services to surpass our customers’ highest expectations,” said DHL Express Saudi Arabia Country General Manager Faysal ElHajjami. “Our aim is to connect people and businesses speedily, securely and reliably, enabling increased trade which will contribute to prospering economic growth in the Saudi market aligned with the goals of the National Transformation Program 2020 and the successful realization of Vision 2030.”

To uphold its status as the number one logistics service provider in the Kingdom, DHL Express Saudi constantly keeps up to date with the latest advanced technologies and over the course of the past three years has invested more than 40 million euros in establishing three gateways in Jeddah, Riyadh and Dammam, with a state of the art automated airside and land gateway enabling improvement of a number of lanes including the US trade lane.

DHL is the leading global brand in the logistics industry with a family of divisions that offer an unrivalled portfolio of logistics services ranging from national and international parcel delivery, e-commerce shipping and fulfillment solutions, international express, road, air and ocean transport to industrial supply chain management, decisively positioning DHL as ‘The logistics company for the world.’ — SG
