Diplomats have their own style in dealing with problems and crises. They have their own methods and standards. As for the citizen who loves his country, he has his own natural style in which he expresses his rejection of the attack facing his country.

This formula was clear in the aftermath of the Jamal Khashoggi case. Saudi people were able to stand in front of this massive media campaign that is controlled and managed by many international factions. Saudis stood their ground and proved to the world that they are united and that there is no way to break this unity or tamper with it.

After the article published by Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Washington Post, we can clearly say as Saudi people and apart from any diplomatic language that Turkey is the key country that is instigating the crisis and shaping negative public opinion against the Kingdom.

We know that the office of Erdogan is controlling Turkish media and that they are the ones who are leaking news in accordance to a plan that will keep Western public opinion directed negatively against the Kingdom. Erdogan put more poison in the honey when he wrote an opinion article for the platform that is in the front line in attacking the Kingdom.

Can we be silent about the statement made by Numan Kurtulmus, deputy head of the Justice and Development Party, about the safety of pilgrims. Erdogan is the head of the party and his deputy would not have the courage to say what he did without a green light from his president.

Since Erdogan’s party is the ruling party, then whatever was said represents the government of Turkey and its president. In other words, we can consider what Kurtulmus said as interference in the Kingdom’s affairs, in line with the issue of sharing control of the two Holy Mosques, which was adopted by Iran and Qatar and was rejected by the Kingdom and the Muslim world.

The role officially played by Turkey against the Kingdom in this crisis is dangerous to the relations between the two countries. We hope that they will put an end to their extortion and work honestly in closing the case of Khashoggi and seeking good relations with the Kingdom.
