JEDDAH — MYNM, the official importer of BMW Group in Saudi Arabia, is thrilled to announce the arrival of the all-new BMW X5. The fourth generation BMW X5 and is the next edition of the most loved BMW model in the Middle East, representing typical characteristics of versatility and luxury. MYNM has welcomed the all-new BMW X5 in the BMW Automall showroom in Jeddah last Nov. 11.
Compared to its predecessor, the all-new BMW X5 has grown in all dimensions while still retaining its charismatic character and proportions. Its design language has become more athletic, with more clearly defined surfaces and even more precise lines; the signature sculpted bonnet has a muscular appearance, and the front overhang is even shorter than the previous model. With overall impeccable design, the all-new X5 boasts dynamic front design with its large BMW kidney grille, the focused styling of the headlights and the powerfully modeled apron, shows self-assured presence, and a robustness that is typical of BMW X models. The standard LED headlights are very slim and wrap around into the front wings giving it its unique character. The driver-oriented cockpit design, the excellent all-round visibility and the typical BMW interior flair make the all-new BMW X5 unique in this segment. Moreover, the new options provide the interior with exceptional charm with a panoramic glass roof Sky Lounge with a 23 percent larger glass surface and crafted clarity of the crystal application for the gear lever.
The all-new BMW X5 will be launched with two power-boosted engines with a three-liter six-cylinder petrol engine with 340 hp and a max. torque of 450 Nm. Additionally, there is the 4.4-litre V8 engine xDrive50i. Its distinctive eight-cylinder sound is a completely new engine, boasting fierce power of 462 hp. Furthermore, the basic X5 suspension set-up is designed to yield an ideal mix of outstanding driving dynamic, steering precision agility and comfort, with the Driving Experience Control available to make further performance adjustments according to personal preference. This includes Parking Assistant with automated longitudinal and lateral guidance. New Reversing Assistant takes over steering to maneuver the vehicle backwards along a path of over a distance up to 50 meters. Parking Assistant Plus also includes Surround View, Top View, Panorama View and Remote 3D View.
The fourth generation X5 model features an off-road package; two-axle air suspension, under guard at the front and rear, plus specific displays in the instrument cluster and Control Display. Additionally, a choice of four driving modes available at the touch of a button. Ride height and the responses of BMW xDrive, DSC, the transmission and the accelerator are adjusted to give an optimum set-up for driving on sand, rock, gravel or snow.
