No one is above our country

The murder of Jamal Khashoggi is now losing its media and political momentum. It cannot be in the headlines every single day in Western media. Americans and Europeans are more concerned with their local issues. It is only those who are targeting Saudi Arabia politically who are following this case.

Furthermore, nothing can be added to the transparent report that was issued by the Attorney General, except finding the body of the victim. With the general prosecution demanding the death penalty for the perpetrators of this terrible murder, those who wanted to use this case politically to harm Saudi Arabia have been left paralyzed.

There are only a few decision making departments in Turkey that are desperately trying to revive this case politically by continuously leaking news, which is only received by media personnel at Al-Jazeera, The Washington Post and The New York Times, which are known for their hatred of Saudi Arabia.

In reality, they do not want to put the killers on trial and convict them; they want to convict Saudi Arabia and its ambitious projects even without trial. They prejudged Saudi Arabia from the first moment and do not seek justice, but instead want to take advantage of this case and use it against the Kingdom.

As for us Saudis, what is more important to us now that this case is in the hands of the judicial system is to ensure the success of our steps toward reform so that no one can abuse authority and make decisions that will harm the country and its reputation. No one is above our country and no one is more precious that its people.
