JEDDAH —Shahnawaz Khan and Zeeshan Ali blasted tons, Asif excelled with the ball as Abdulwahid recorded 17-ball fifty, and Asghar, Hashim Khan and Naeem Malik exhibited fine all round performances in the SCC Premier and Afternoon Challenge Cups played in WPCA under the auspices of Saudi Cricket Center.
SCC Afternoon Challenge Cup
OMD Tuskers downed Stallions by 10 wickets. Stallions scored 171 for 7. Sohail hit an unbeaten 43, Aqeel 36, Abdul Rehman 30, Hassan Ali 29 and Jahanzaib 11. Mohammed took 2 for 36, Ramiz 1-20 and Qasim 1-36.
OMD Tuskers reached the target of 174 in just 95 balls as Shahnawaz Khan blasted unbeaten 110 off 62 balls studded with 14 fours and 3 sixes. He added 174 for the unbroken first wicket with Haroon, who was unbeaten on 57 off 33 balls with 4 sixes and 3 boundaries.
Marine Services crushed Al Hukma International by 101 runs. Marine Services amassed 181 for 3. Akram stroked 52 off 37 balls. Sohail remained unbeaten on 55 off 27 balls and Manzoor (unbeaten 25). Mohammed Ali took 2-34.
Al Hukma International crashed to 80 as Asif bowled devastatingly for his 4 for 16 and he was well supported by Naseer 3-17, Tariq 2-21 and Farrukh 1. For Al Hukama Farhan scored 26, Mehmoud 14 and Mohammed Ali 13.
Black Hawks clipped Abu Dawood by 8 runs. Black Hawks piled up 170 for 7. Asghar scored 69 off 29 balls, Ahsan made 31, Arsalan 21, Ishfaq 15 and Qaisar 11. Abid scalped 2-34, Aftab 2-35, Subayyal 1-28 and Kareem Khan 1.
Abu Dawood responded with 162 for 6. Aftab Malik tried his best with a solid 70 off 35 balls with the help of 9 fours and 2 sixes, Mohsin 27, Abid 27 and Aqeel 10. Asghar grabbed 3-25, Anas and Safwan got one each.
SCC Premier Challenge Cup
Fuchs Al Hamrani defeated IDB Group by 6 wickets. IDB Group managed 178 for 7. Khalid Butt scored 57 off 26 balls, Hashim Khan it unbeaten 45, Noor Butt 35 and Ali Zaman 15. Irfan Anjum took 2 for 30, a scalp each went to Afroz, Aqeel and Mukhtar.
Fuchs Al Hamrani achieved 179 for 4 off 105 balls. Zeeshan Amin batted magnificently for his unbeaten 103 off 53 balls studded with 11 fours while adding a match winning 139 in 80 balls for the 2nd wicket with Ali Haider 45. Hashim Khan grabbed 3 for 45 and Abdullah Shah 1.
Zultrack prevailed over ALS Warriors by 47 runs. Zultrack plundered 199 for 4. Moazzam Shoukat stroked 55 off 37 balls in the 113 (66 balls) stand for the first wicket with Naeem Malik, who hammered 67 off 42 balls. Later Abdul Wahid Khan hit 59 off 20 balls with 4 sixes and 6 fours. Shoaib Ali grabbed 3 for 32 and Hafiz 1.
ALS Warriors responded with 152 for 8. Mohammed Khan stroked 43. Abdullah Essa made 19, Ramzan 19, Hafiz 14, Usman unbeaten 14, Abdul Aleem 13 and Shoaib Ali 10. Abdul Wahid 2-30, Imran Yousuf 2-33, Naeem Malik 2-42 and a wicket each by Qaim Ali and Maqsood.
