RIYADH — The British Embassy held a “Fashion is Great” show at the residence of the British Ambassador on Tuesday.

Ambassador Simon Collis spoke to the media saying: “The UK Fashion industry is one of the most vibrant and creative business sectors with a universal appeal.

“The London Fashion Week which featured over 80 designers and 100 brands is testament to the fact that UK is home to some of the world’s most innovative designers.

“We know that shopping in the UK is one of the top 3 favorite activities for Saudis when they visit my country. Many of these brands are also available in Saudi Arabia and we hope that UK brands and partnerships can continue to grow in the retail market in Saudi Arabia.

“Tonight we are proud to showcase the Autumn/ Winter collections of some of the best of British fashion brands.”

The media preview also gave opportunity to representatives from the participating brands to address attendees and introduce these brands to guests.

“Fashion is Great” showcased different looks from Karen Millen, Austin Reed, and Cath Kidston. There were also displays around the garden by Dune London, and Sleek Makeup.
