RIYADH — Didier Jardin general manager Four Seasons Kuwait at Burj Alshaya spoke to Saudi Gazette during his recent visit to Riyadh “During last year, we have seen a great demand from Saudis to Kuwait and specifically to Four Seasons, the Saudi market is looking for luxury hotels. Our exposure during the first year has been well received from our guests in the Kuwaiti market.” Jardin said on the purpose of his visit “We want to let everyone know that Four Seasons is now open and operating in Kuwait. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in the region. When it comes to quality, it is incredible. It is a contemporary hotel with different style than the rest of hotels in Kuwait. It brings something new to Kuwait. It is like a little museum.”

“It is all about the guests’ experience, for families we have 5 different restaurants, two-storey spa. Though the hotel is located in the middle of the city, it is like urban resort. We opened a kids club with water feature, little pool to let parents comfortable and peaceful minded. We also tailor-make family programs for each individual family according to their interests, it is more about the personalized service.”

“Guests will feel at home away from home here,” Jardin said about the hospitality experience he oversees at Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait.

“For businessmen, we also receive regular guests; we also offer different packages for businessmen, a lot of meeting rooms, large banquet to meetings. We also have so often weddings.”

“Majority of our guests are families, 20% of guests to Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait are Saudis and we are here today to attract more Saudi guests. Since our opening last year, we can see increasing numbers of Saudi guests and we aim to attract more.”

Four Seasons Kuwait special offers to families include a connect room to the booked suite; another offer is pay for two nights and take the third night free. “We can see people are enjoying the value to staying longer.” Said Jardin

“Our job is to be better and better all the time. We listen to our guests and make some changes according to their experience, so they can have great experience with us.”

The hotel includes 284 rooms and suites through 21 floors in the heart of Kuwait city’s central business district, and is beautifully designed with vibrant colours, and stylishness.

Enthusiastic about the details, Jardin spoke about the extraordinary floating spiral staircase 30 meters high as a piece of art, footsteps and Instagram portraitists in the lobby.

Also the dining experience is a remarkable one for all guests and locals varying from pan-Asian Sintoho and the Hotel’s Italian offering, Dai Forni, are laid out with open kitchens.

On future plans, Jardin said that they are looking to open another restaurant very soon and they are keen to attract more people from around the world. “We will be evaluating every year and change and develop anything that needs to, and act accordingly to the business and our guests requirements.”

“We are lucky enough to have 35 % of employees as females from 50 different countries which adds to the comfort of our lady guests. I am the one who hired every single employee and interviewed thousands of employees to hire our team of 520 employees. It all starts with people and from the moment of the interview.”

Jardin chose Kuwait City over other possibilities for his first turn as general manager because of his personal passion for the project and the destination.

Prior to his current position, Jardin worked in Four Seasons Resort Mauritius, Cairo, Bora Bora, Hualalai, New York, The Biltmore Santa Barbara, Ritz-Carlton Chicago (formerly a Four Seasons Hotel) and Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.
