Legendry FC wins Falcon Super League in penalty shootout

December 04, 2018

RIYADH — Ahmed Hussain saved the decisive penalty as Legendry FC won the Falcon Super League’s 1st Edition with an 8-7 shootout win over Falcons FC at the Samba Football Ground.

Matthias Ramharter gave Falcons the lead in the 82nd minute but Legendry FC’s Ali Khormi made it 1-1 with 5 minutes remaining to send the game to the penalty shootout.

Neither team could find a winner in the regular time as players on both sides tired, and the penalties were needed to break the deadlock. Abdo’s penalty was saved by Ahmed on Falcon’s 8th attempt in the penalty shootout.

At the end of the final, the prize distribution ceremony was held in which Winner’s Trophy was given to Legendry FC and Runner Ups Trophy to Falcon FC. Abdul Aziz and Ali Khormi from Legendry FC received the Best Player and Golden Boot Awards whereas Saad Ali and Murtaza Ali got the Best Keeper and Most Assists Awards respectively. — SG
