JEDDAH — KSA Yellow recorded win over Kerala CC, while Jouf Jeddah, Mahajar Heroes and Chennai XI prevailed over their rivals in the second week of the Jeddah Premier League’s (JPL) AIMIM Cup 2018.
The league-cum-knockout tournament is being organized by Kingdom Sports Academy Jeddah AIMIM Team and co-sponsored by Captain’s Cafeteria, Khind and B. Cola.
Chennai XI thumped New Azad. Chennai XI posted 100 in its allotted 16 overs through Shameem (22) and Mubarak (17). In reply, New Azad managed 80 (Shanawaz 54, Najeeb 8). Chennai XI’s Ilyas won the Man of the Match award for his excellent spell of 4 wickets.
KSA Yellow blasted Kerala CC. KSA Yellow 148-9 In 16 overs (Shaker 41, Mehraj 32, Hashmath 28, Nadeem 21). Kerala CC 88 (Yasir 43, Anas 18). KSA Yellow’s Talha took 4 wickets with a hat trick. Shaker bagged the Man of Match award for his overall performance 41 runs and 1 wicket.
In a nail-biting match, Jouf Jeddah Strikers defeated IOE Game Fighters. Jouf Jed Strikers 71 in 16 overs (Salman 12, Mohsin 8). IOE Game Fighters 45 in 12.4 overs. Captain Imtiyaz Mohammed of Jouf was adjudged Man of the Match for his excellent match-winning spell of 5 wickets.
Salama Falcons downed Alam Brothers. Alam Brothers 59 in 12 overs (Anbar 15, Arshad 10). Salama Falcons CC 60-3 in 8.3 overs. Man of the Match was Faisal who scored 30 runs.
Mahajar Heroes humbled Hyderabad Warriors. Hyderabad Warriors 110-7 in 16 overs (Aslam 53). Mahajor Heroes 111-4 in 15.1 overs. Asif Bacha bagged the Man of the Match award for his 74 runs.
KSA Blue routed Zaithuna XI. Zaithuna XI 61-6 in 15 overs. KSA Blue 64-5 in 7.3 overs. Syed Mukarram was selected as the Man of the Match for his 21 runs.
Azizia Deccan, batting first, scored 106-6 in 15 overs (Maqbool 25, Harun Rasheed 17). Khind 79 in 14.2 overs. Azizia Deccan’s Maqbool Ahmed got the Man of the Match award for his 25 runs and 2 wickets.
Tai XI scored 114-9 in 15 overs (Sohail 39, Nayeem 26, Shahid 12). AD Avengers 54 in 11 overs. Tai XI’s Sohail was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 39 runs.
Kokan XI crushed Rockers CC. Kokan XI 149-6 in 16 overs (Zameer 56, Manan 28, Asif 42). Rockers Cricket Club 95 in 13. 1 overs. Kokan XI’s Asif was selected as the Man of the Match Asif for his 42 runs.
United Brothers Makkah posted 112-7 in 16 overs (Ashwaf 35, Zesham 29, Tawfeeq 12). Brahmon Baria Lions Club 91). United Brothers’ Osman bagged the Man of the Match award as he took 3 crucial wickets.
