RIYADH - Saudi Arabia's Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, has died on Saturday, family members said on twitter posts.
The 87-year-old senior member of the royal family had been ill for several years. Prince Talal is a brother of King Salman and father of Prince Al Waleed bin Talal.
The news of his passing was confirmed by his son Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal on Twitter. He said that family members are accepting condolences from Sunday until Tuesday.
Born in 1931, the prince headed the Arab Gulf Fund for Development, a UN body that promotes education and health in developing countries.
