RIYADH — The Pinoy Darters and Billiards Enthusiasts in Hail (PDBEH) Classified Darts Invitational Tournament concluded with exciting highlights. This event is the second one organized by the prime sports group in Hail headed by Dr. Dan Masilungan through the support of Expat Darters of Saudi Arabia (EDSA) under the leadership of Emmer Cortez and Ferdz Benting Jr. The tournament was sponsored by Marvin Santos and family, Apple Prince Desu in cooperation with Paul Angelo Travel and Tours.
The singles event was dominated by Ishmael Bandala who snatched the championship crown by outsmarting his opponents. Bandala came very strong and maintained a steady grip in the winner’s bracket and never tasted defeat in the tournament.
Zandrix Sayon, who was denied by Bandala, claimed the first runner-up award through a convincing win over Ruben Tamayo who later got the second runner-up title through a hard ordeal in the losers’ bracket. Joseph Veridiano grabbed the third runner-up position after losing to Tamayo. All winners proved their prowess in the toe line.
In the doubles event, Francis Dagadag and Jay Oreta grabbed the crown by completing a come-from-behind victory from the losers’ bracket. The pair experienced a sorry loss in the third leg but regained their composure and swept all remaining battles in the losers’ bracket. It was strong determination and the never-say-die attitude that pushed them for victory.
It was a sorry loss too for Jerome Rosaupan and Marvin Santos as they only achieved first runners-up award. Chris Ibuos and Danmark Guyao took home the second runners-up award, while Edgar Dadivas and Rhandy Valenzuela got the third runners-up prize.
The Hail dart event, organized by Dr. Dan Masilungan, extended its appreciation to the EDSA officers and members who drove a long way from Riyadh to support the second invitational tournament that has become another successful event uniting all dart enthusiasts in the Kingdom.
