RIYADH — US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Riyadh late Sunday here, it the latest swing of a Middle East tour to show US commitment to the region.

At the King Khalid International Airport, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Member of the Cabinet Adel Al-Jubeir, Prince Khalid Bin Salman, Saudi Ambassador to Washington, and other officials welcomed Pompeo.

Soon after Pompeo’s arrival, Al-Jubeir held a formal meeting with the US Secretary of State on the partnership between the two friendly countries and issues of common concern.
