TAIF — Al-Kar tourist village and the Al-Hada aerial tramway are both ready to admit visitors in Eid Al-Fitr, their management said.
The management has released a daily schedule that splits operation of the tramways into two shifts.
The first starts at 10 a.m., when all 52 tramways will start operating up and down Al-Hada, and concludes at 5 p.m.
The second shift begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until midnight.
During this period, the resort holds festivities for all age groups and for both genders.
The management explained that all amenities, including the tramways, slides, mazes, water attractions, laser tag, ice skating rink, rope race and hang gliding are now prepared.
The management added that this year’s celebrations include extra activities, such as plastic arts, sculpting, storytelling, family competitions, a fireworks show and exhibitions by a number of expatriate communities, including the Philippine community, among other activities.
The festivities will coincide with the inauguration of the Taif Hall for Plastic Arts.
The festivities will be held at various locations in Al-Kar village, including Al-Qashla, Al-Maidan, the tramway stations, and the shopping area.
The shopping area has added new restaurants and shops, as well as entertainment activities for different age groups.
A number of shops and restaurants will also be opened at the tramway stations.
The Al-Hada tramway has transported 500,000 people so far this summer.
The tramway connects Al-Hada summit with Al-Kar village, and each trip it makes is 4.2 km long.
The upper tramway station contains a mosque, a video game arcade, and fast food restaurants. — SG/SPA
