MANILA — Following his apology over a leaked ‘private video’ of him and his girlfriend Neri Naig, Parokya ni Edgar lead vocalist Chito Miranda turned to social media to defend Neri from bashers. Chito posted on Instagram a photo of Neri playing with some aetas. Along with the photo is a long message about how Chito knows Neri as a person.



Describing her as “happy and content” despite not being “as sikat,” Chito said that Neri finds joy in visiting and helping some aetas. He adds that Naig would “collect and bring used, worn-out school books and read to the kids trying to help them learn to read as well.”



The vocalist also noted that Naig buys school supplies in Divisoria, brings it to the aeta community and teach kids how to write their name. Receiving mixed reactions about their leaked ‘private video,’ Chito is mainly concerned for Neri, who he said is a good person. He also questioned those who bash “helpless girls” on the Internet. Chito then thanked those who understand and continue to support them in this tough time.
