Najm unveils Comprehensive Auto Insurance Management Solution

January 27, 2019

RIYADH — Najm for Insurance Services company announced the launching of Comprehensive Auto Insurance Management Solution (CAMS) which will serve as a centralized insurance repository for vehicles in Saudi Arabia.

CAMS aims to collect, record, and exchange insurance data based on the regulations issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regarding the collection and exchange of vehicle insurance data. It seeks to develop the capabilities of insurance companies, analyze insurance risks, improve the quality of insurance services, and reduce insurance fraud.

Customers will benefit from an array of services that the new CAMS center will provide, including the insurance record services where customers will be able to view their available insurance records such as historical policies and associated claims round the clock. This will create additional transparency and clarity by confirming data accuracy and requesting corrections or updates when needed.

CAMS will also enable customers to avail discounts (NCD) depending on their coverage history and the lack of claims. This will encourage them to abide by traffic laws and practice safe driving in order to maintain their discounts.

Furthermore, the CAMS center will also provide insurance companies the ability to conduct case-specific risk analysis on individual vehicles or customers through accessing their insurance records which include all relevant insurance data such as any current vehicle insurance, claims, insurance recoveries, and vehicles recorded as total loss.

Ibrahim Al-Mahboob, Acting CEO of Najm, commented on the importance of this project which comes as part of Najm’s efforts to invest in advanced technologies. He described it to be in-line with Najm’s endeavors to present top quality services that are effective, fair, and guarantee a lasting relationship with all stakeholders. He also added that Najm strives to present new and innovative initiatives to develop the Kingdom’s insurance services and contribute to Vision 2030’s objectives regarding advancing the insurance sector to become a major contributor in achieving a varied economy.

Al-Mahboob also expressed his confidence that CAMS will achieve its objectives in fulfilling the needs of customers and enhancing traffic safety. — SG
