RIYADH — Middle East Airlines (MEA) opened its new office in here on Saturday at Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Street.
The chairman of the board of directors MEA Muhammad Al-Hout, Lebanese Ambassador Dr. Fawzi Kabbara and regional director KSA Muhammad Al Sharqawy attended the opening ceremony.
Providing travel services in accordance with the highest standards, the new office serves customers wishing to travel to Lebanon then to Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Al-Hout said the Saudi market is one of the top markets to MEA and that is why MEA is keen to open new office and to keep pace with vision 2030.
Al-Hout also stated that starting mid-year 2020 MEA will start buying 321 / 330nano aircrafts to replace existing ones, in addition to renovation of offices in Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah.
Kabbara said that MEA has strengthened its presence in general and that there is great cooperation between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia. He also stressed that the coming period will be a remarkable one in various fields and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of tourism.
Al Sharqawy said the new office is one more than 270 meters and equipped with the latest technology in travel and tourism, confirming that the real flourishing would be by the return of the Saudi tourists to Lebanon. He praised The General Authority of Civil Aviation GACA for approving increased bilateral flights up to 70 flights per week; out of which 21 to Jeddah and 7 to Madinah.
With the new aircraft, MEA is also anticipating to increase Riyadh flights to 3 per day.
