RIYADH — Saudi Electronics and Home Appliances Institute (SEHAI) AdDiriyah conducted recently the fifth workshop in “Energy Efficiency in Home Appliances in Saudi Arabia” with the participation of Saudi and Japanese expertise at SEHAI.
Dr. Ismail Muhammed Mufarreh, Director of SEHAI, stressed the importance of preserving energy in all aspects of human life and the objectives of the workshop provide skills and information on energy use in all technical specialties in the Institute.
Sho Inokuchi, Director, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan spoke about the Saudi Japan partnership in the energy efficiency field that resulted in this workshop, which is the positive result of the trainees of SEHAI and representatives of the manufactures reduce the energy consumption.
Tsukasa Uemura, Ambassador of Japan in the Kingdom, spoke about the strong relations between the two friendly countries (Saudi Arabia and Japan) in various aspects including the technical fields. The energy efficiency workshop held at the Saudi Electronics and Home Appliances Institute is part of the joint cooperation which contributes to the further advancement of the Saudi youth and training them technically and professionally
Abdulmajeed Al-Abdulkarim of Saudi Energy Efficiency Center (SEEC), delivered the lecture about “KSA’s Energy Efficiency and Conservation Policy and Programs in the building sector,” while Yasushi Tanaka, General Manager, Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ), lectured on the “Introduction to Energy Efficiency Effort of residential sector.” — SG
