DAMMAM — Intelligent Hawks won the Al-Turki First Division Main League of Eastern Province Cricket Association (EPCA) by defeating Gisco CC.

Gisco CC put on 250 in 39 overs as Abdul Mannan Malik (107) hit 6th century in the Main League. Umar scored 61. Sajid Khan grabbed 5 wickets. In reply, IHCC lost 2 quick wickets but Aamir Goraya and Asim produced a 120-run partnership to bring Intelligent Hawks back in the game. Saleem Dar (64) and Amer (41) made sure that IHCC emerge winner.

Earlier, in the first semifinal, Intelligent Hawks beat Khobar Gymkhana Islamabad Strikers by 124 runs. IHCC posted 309 in 40 overs. Aamir Goraya (102) made yet another century of the season, well supported by Faisal (47) and Jasim (44). Ahmad Rauf claimed 5 wickets. In reply, KGKIS was bundled out for 185 in 30 overs. Ahmad Rauf made 108 off 71. Sajid and Saleem took 2 wickets each.

In the second semis, Gisco CC beat Khobar Rangers CC by 56 runs. GICC tallied 222 in 39 overs. Abdul Mannan scored 61 and Atizaz 40. Hamid took 3 wickets. In reply, KRCC was restricted to 166. Ali raza hit 44. Israr and Faizan grabbed 3 wickets each.

40-40 Main League

Khobar Rangers CC outplayed Snamprogetti Drilling CC by 18 runs. KRCC posted 217 in 38 overs. Aftab Haider scored 56 and Hamid 30. Zahid and Junaid claimed 3 wickets each. In reply, SNCC was bundled out for 199 in 37 overs. Syed Ahsan made 85. Syed Furqan and Hamid grabbed 3 wickets each.

Kashmir Valley CC defeated Royal Kashmir CC by 7 wickets. RKCC posted 260 in 40 overs. Sarfraz scored 62 and Junaid 55. Ijaz, Shafi and Wajahat claimed 2 wickets each. KVCC chased the target in 38 overs. Ijaz belted 80 off 75 and Waseem scored 50 off 26. Junaid took 3 wickets.

Adpco Friends CC tied the match with Mangalore CC in a thriller. MCC tallied 215 in 37 overs as Shabber and Imran scored 45 each. Hamid grabbed 3 wickets. In reply, AFCC also tallied 215. Saif made 49. Noor grabbed 3 wickets. — SG
