RIYADH — Unbeaten Pak Shaheen qualified for the semifinals of SAIB Cricket Tournament which is sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
Al-Kharaj League
Pak Shaheen triumphed over KFSH Blues by 169 runs. Pak Shaheen amassed a massive 427-7. Abdul Waheed smacked 168, Abdul Wahab 85 and Abdul Qadir 52. Nadeem Babar and Saqib snared 2 wickets each. KFSH lost top order cheaply but managed to get 258, thanks to Khurram Baig’s fighting 102. Mateen assisted him with 44. Ali Sher was the pick of the bowlers who claimed 5 wickets and Abdul Wahab took 2.
Hayer League
Abaseen defeated Riyadh Fighters by 26 runs. Batting first, Abaseen posted 206 for 3. Farhad smashed 78 and Salman 35. In reply, Fighters were restricted to 180. Imran hammered 59, Yasir 55 and Hameed 38. Salman Shahid bagged 2 wickets. KAMS lost to Challengers by 46 runs. Challengers tallied 205. Haroon blasted 113 and Karthik 44. Abdul Rahman grabbed 3 wickets and Abrar 2. KAMS managed 159 in reply. Salman slogged 37 and Abdul Rahman 23. Ashik clinched 3 wickets, while Srinivas and Karthik took 2 each.
Green Bangla cruised to victory over Jinnah by 38 runs. Bangla posted 166 for 9. Hassan made 25 and Saiful 22. Sahib and Muzammal snared 2 wickets each. Jinnah was all out for 128 in reply. Shakeel top scored with 27. Saif got 4 wickets.
Kashmir XI lost to Indian Strikers. Kashmir collected 127-9. Ishfaq scored 33 and Alamghir 26. Sajith, Ashraf and Anees shared 2 wickets each. Strikers got to the target in 19.2 overs. Aneesh hit 55 and Kannan 46.
Pak Riderz beat PTI Tigers by 4 wickets. PTI collected 207-6. Aziz belted 47 and Wasim 45. Moihudin and Pervaiz bagged 2 wickets each. Pak Riderz won in the 20th over. Umair slogged 80 and Shaheryar 45. Wasim took 2 wickets.
Riyadh Zalmi swept to victory over Thales by 6 wickets. Thales piled up 134-9. Aziz and Sheraz resisted with 27and 23, respectively. M Shoaib grabbed 4 wickets and Tila 3. Riyadh Zalmi scored the required 135 runs in just 14.1 overs. Adnan (53) and Imran (24) were the key contributors. Kader clinched 2 wickets.
Saudi Knights pounded Al-Mawarid by 25 runs. Batting first, Saudi Knights posted 194-6. Khurram scored 37 and Imran 31. Waseem snared 3 wickets. In reply, Al-Mawarid managed 169. Waqar slammed 57 and Ubaid 29. Mazhar got 3 wickets and Aftab 2.
TBCC earned a comfortable 7-wicket win over Saudi Knights. Knights collected 193-8. Shakeel batted brilliantly for 83 and Pandya made 36. Karthik claimed 3 wickets and Shereef 2.
TBCC won the match in the 20th over. Shereef scored a standout 53, Shershad 41 and Faizal 36. Arif clinched 2 wickets.
