RIYADH — Renowned batsman of Saudi Arabia, Abdul Waheed, smashed fourth consecutive ton in the ongoing SAIB tournament, sponsored by Saudi Arabian Investment Bank and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).

Known for his consistency, Waheed scored a match-winning 194 against Fuchs Lions in the semifinals. Earlier in the league matches he has scored 166 against L’usine, 125 against Samacom and 168 against KFSH Blues.

Alkharaj League

Pak Shaheen qualified for the final after winning a thriller against Fuchs Lions. Batting first, Fuchs tallied 412 for 7. Owais belted 141 and Muzaffar Majeed 120. Omar made 46. Dawood, Faisal and Ali grabbed 2 wickets each. Thanks to Abdul Waheed’s mammoth inning of 194, Pak Shaheen chased down the target in the 36th over. Faisal and Asad assisted with 71 and 64, respectively. Muzaffar clinched 2 wickets.

In the second semifinal, Lahore Badshah won against Samacom by 64 runs. Lahore Badshah posted 395 for 5. Mudassir played an outstanding inning of 237 off 144 balls. Yassir hit 46. Rizwan and Raffa claimed 2 wickets each. In reply, Samacom was restricted to 331. Rizwan fought with a classic knock of 209. Adnan stroked 39. Nabeel bagged 3 wickets and Fahad 2.

Hayer League

Sinmar cruised to victory over Al-Mawarid by 9 wickets. Al-Mawarid posted 182 for 4. Waseem whacked 66 and Waqas 32. Riyas Chukkan snared 2 wickets. Riyas eased the victory for Sinmar with 121 and Navas made 36.

In its second match, Sinmar downed Battagram Zalmi. Sinmar collected 264 for 2. Riyas scored his second ton of the day as he slammed 116. Imthiyas also scored a century (117). Battagram could manage only 125. Shakeeb hit 26 and Zia 23. Sarfaraz picked up 3 wickets and Hamid 2.

Kashmir Xi lost to Swat Tigers by 35 runs. Swat amassed 235 for 5. Shazad hammered 72, Ashraf 46 and Israr 40. Amir grabbed 2 wickets. Kashmir was restricted to 200 in reply. Noor Zaman whacked 81 and Altaf 26. Israr, Syed and Tariq took 2 wickets each.

Swat Tigers thumped Indian Strikers by 38 runs. Swat accumulated 253. Israr, Shahzad and Ashraf scored 99, 64 and 49, respectively. Indian Strikers scored 215 in reply. Nastar (33), Shehin (32) and Kannan (31) batted well. Israr and Tariq grabbed 2 wickets each.

Green Bangla triumphed over Ar Riyadh Zalmi by 9 wickets. Zalmi scored 158. Samiullah scored 26 and Raheel 22. Zakir and Musfikur took 3 wickets each. Green Bangla chased down the target in the 20th over. Badal slammed 63 and Zakir 51.

In its second encounter of the day, Green Bangla knocked down Kashmiri Falcons by 121 runs. Bangla piled up 218. Zakir showed his class with 118 and Badal supported with 34. Aamer grabbed 2 wickets. Kashmiri was bowled out for just 97 in reply. Qasid resisted with 25. Abu Musa bagged 3 wickets and Zakir 2.

Thales won a thriller against Riyadh Fighters by 8 wickets. Batting first, Fighters were all out for 184. Yasser top scored with 58 while Imran and Hameed assisted with 36 and 35, respectively. Aziz Ur Rehman grabbed 4 wickets, while Waheed and Tabrez took 2 wickets. In reply, Thales won in the 16th over. Aziz led the inning with 83 and Tabrez hit 52.
