MANILA — Sunshine Cruz thanked her fans on Twitter for supporting her after she filed a case against her estranged husband Cesar Montano.



Cruz also addressed a netizen’s comment that she only filed the complaint to seek publicity. “Try to read before reacting. Relax ka lang. Good morning!” Cruz tweeted.



On Tuesday, Cruz filed a case against Montano for allegedly violating Republic Act 9262, or the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act. The actress claims Montano has committed — and still continues to commit — acts of violence and verbal abuse against her and her three daughters. Cruz described Montano as “a very domineering, philandering husband that demanded full submission and obedience” from her. — ABS-CBN
