Friends hold ACC-B to 1-1 draw

JEDDAH — Al-Rai ACC-B was held to a 1-1 draw by Asian Times Friends Jeddah at the Elite Blasters 2019 Football Super League group matches here.

ACC-B scored early in the game and kept Friends Jeddah under pressure. It was a brilliant goal by striker Mohammed. However, Jaseel of Friends Jeddah leveled the score in the last minute off a superb freekick.

Earlier in a B Division match, United Sports Club defeated FC Kuwaisa 1-0. Najeesh, who scored the only goal of the match, was adjudged the Man of the Match.

In the Under-17 category, SIFF champion Sporting United won over Talent Teens Academy 2-0.

Waseem and Naseem Ahmed were the scorers for the winner. Naseem Ahmed was named the best performer of the match.

Badr-Tamam Marketing Manager Dr. Ashraf, TMA Rahoof of KMCC, Nizam Mambad, SIFF Secretary Shabeer Ali Lava, Al-Rai Marking Manager Benny, Asian Times MD Shameem Kottookkara, Ismail Mundakulam, Rahim Valiyora, Nisam Pappata, Saidalvi Narikkunnan, Shafeeq Pattambi, Ali Thiruvegappura, Salim Nadudodi, Alungal Cheriya Muhammad graced the day and met with the players.

Trophies for best players of the matches were presented by Dr. Ashraf Badr Tamam, Nasser Olavattur and former chairman of Indian School Shamsuddin.

Ayoob C. Madan won a lucky draw and Shibli Nizam handed over the prize.
