‏Prince Badr tours cultural landmarks in Baghdad

BAGHDAD — Minister of Culture Prince Badr Bin Abdullah Bin Farhan met with the Iraqi Minister of Culture and Tourism Dr. Abdulkarim Al-Hamdani on Thursday and visited cultural and historical areas in the Iraqi capital.

The minister visited Al-Mutanabbi Street and the old government house, Al-Qashla, and toured the Abbasid Palace.

‏“Baghdad has many cultural, heritage and archaeological landmarks that are considered symbols of Iraqi culture. It is a beacon of culture and heritage in the Arab world,” he said.

‏On the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council meeting on Wednesday, he said: “The council has contributed to the improvement of Saudi-Iraqi relations on all fronts, including cultural cooperation. Partnerships are central to the Ministry of Culture’s vision, and we will continue to explore cultural cooperation and exchange with other countries.”

Prince Badr’s visit to Baghdad included the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council meeting on Wednesday. — SG
