Addressing a press conference in Riyadh on Wednesday, Dr. Fahd Bin Sulaiman Al-Tekhaifi, president of the authority, said that the results of this survey have a major role in supporting projects related to income and expenditure of families such as social protection, social development and family affairs.

They also contributed to the creation of important social indicators such as indices of sustainable development goals, human development, and international indices.

He said that the authority is carrying out a number of procedures to ensure the quality of the data. These included the method of direct visit to the household and the use of tablets for collection of data among many other procedures.

The survey was carried out during a period of 13 months from 28 Feb. 2107 until 31 March, 2018.

Al-Tekhaifi also announced plans to conduct similar surveys every three years effective from 2021, in a way catering to the local, regional and international requirements.
