Saudi Border Guards arrest 35 drug smugglers in a month

JEDDAH — Saudi Border Guard arrested 35 drug smugglers and seized 1,363 kilograms of hashish in the month of April.

Border Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Misfer Ghannam Al-Qiraini said the arrests were made by guards who were closely monitoring the Kingdom's land and sea borders.

He said the arrested smugglers consisted of 18 Ethiopians, 11 Yemenis and six Somalis.

Qiraini said all the smugglers would be produced in court after thorough investigations.
