Power company asks all subscribers to register with its 'Hesabi' service

Saudi Gazette report

RIYADH — The Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has called on subscribers across the Kingdom to quickly register with its service “My Account” (Hesabi) to take advantage of several benefits.

Hesabi is a national project aimed at protecting the interests of subscribers, including both landlords and tenants and to curb some problems that may arise between them in the event of termination of the rental contract and in other similar situations.

Registering in the account will also help streamline the flow of customer data, as well as to regulate the provision of reliable electricity services, the Saudi Press Agency quoted sources in the SEC as saying.

The SEC said the Hesabi service would serve subscribers in residential, commercial, industrial and agricultural sectors.

The company has begun implementing the project of beneficiary registration so as to provide the electricity services directly with high reliability. The Hesabi registration can be made on SEC's website by choosing type of subscriber — individual or business — and then determine the type of identity — national ID or resident ID. Subscribers will have to enter the e-mail ID and mobile phone number, after which they may click the “Activate Account” button and create a user name and password. The subscribers also need to add their address registered in the national address system. — SG/SPA
