Condition of those injured in Abha attack is fine — Emir

Prince Turki Bin Talal

Saudi Gazette report

Prince Turki Bin Talal, emir of Asir, said that the condition of all those who were injured in the terrorist attack on Abha International Airport is fine.

“Some of them had left the hospital after receiving first aid while others remain in the hospital after sustaining moderate to minor injuries,” he said.

Three women and two children were among 26 people injured in the projectile attack on arrivals hall at airport by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militias early Wednesday morning, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Prince Turki emphasized that the Iran-backed Houthi militia’s attempts to target civilian installations, including the latest attack on Abha Airport, will not affect the security and stability of the Kingdom in general and the southern regions in particular.

“The citizens and residents alike know that all the military forces were and will be on the lookout for the terrorists with all the courage and bravery.”

The emir said the air navigation at Abha airport is proceeding normally as it has not been affected by the terrorist attack.

He said the armed forces personnel on the southern border and the citizens in the region are confident that the Iranian plans and plots to destabilize the Kingdom will not succeed and will be doomed to failure.
