RIYADH —
Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) operated on Sunday its first flight SV 2030 to Neom Bay Airport.

The airport was inaugurated last week in the presence of the Chairman of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) Abdulhadi Bin Ahmed Al-Mansouri, Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Saleh Al-Jasser and CEO of NEOM Company Nazmi Al-Nasr.

Earlier, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) announced that the Neom Bay Airport will be the first airport using the 5G wireless network service in the region.

“With the latest technologies, we are steadily moving toward the future,” the ministry said in its official Twitter page on Wednesday.

The tweet was accompanied by an illustration highlighting the words of Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, in which he said that Neom is the destination for the future.
