RIYADH — Customs officers at Halat Ammar Border seized 1.4 million narcotic pills stashed inside hollow steel clamps, said Ammar Al-Harby, the customs director at the border. The smuggler attached the clamps to the tires of the truck he was driving. Officers found that all 18 tires of the truck had clamps attached to them and large quantities of pills stashed inside the clamps. Meanwhile, in Abha, two highway patrol officers foiled an attempt to smuggle 226 guns. When officers pulled over a suspicious car and searched it, they found the weapons stashed inside it.
